First Coupled Effects is a blog where I document the work that I am doing right now, a place where I write about the tools and methods I use in my work, and an exercise in distilling cohesive content from random thoughts.
The name, First Coupled Effects, is a play on first order conditions (which economists live by), coupled systems (which drove me to pursue a PhD to begin with), and first order effects (which is another way of saying: let’s assume everything you’re saying is true, does it matter?).
